Hi everyone.
Well, my cold has changed into something UGLY (I have a Dr's appt today to find out what exactly is going on) and I still have a few orders to ship out so, if you are waiting on your order, my apologies for the delay.
My sons have been wonderful in helping package orders and get them to the Post Office for me and we are doing the best we can to get everything to you as fast as we can.
I may be closing the shops earlier than expected, so please, if there is something you've asked about and would like to make sure you have it in tome for Christmas, be sure to place your order ASAP.
Thank you.

The Gift of Giving
With Christmas fast approaching, I'm sure most everyone has been hitting the malls and online shops to find the best deals out there to fill their lists. Or maybe you go the handmade route for all your gifting.
I am A FIRM supporter of creating a 'Handmade Christmas' and craft the majority of my gifts to give (the rest come from fellow artists who make what I can not).
Some of you may have already finished your shopping of gifts for family and friends.
Some of you may be just getting started (um....you're not alone, lol!)
But there are still others out there who may not be on your list, but still are worthy of your time, talents, and gifts this season.....
A few of my favorite ways that you can help those who may NOT be on your list:
FreeCycle - there is a chapter in almost EVERY area close to wherever you are. Many who are in need due to low income, recent hardships, or other circumstances...often ask for help through this awesome organization. Join online to find areas near you where you might help make someone's Christmas a little brighter.
The Salvation Army - Much more than just the sidewalk Santas with the Red kettles ringing bells (although that is a WONDERFUL way to help) The Salvation Army is SO MUCH MORE...taking donations of clothing, blankets, household items, clothing, toys...not only given through them to families in need, but placed into any of their Thrift Stores to raise money to stay within the neighborhoods it is sold in. Also helps in disaster relief due to home fires, acts of weather, etc.
Warm Up America - PERFECT for the knitter, crocheter, or sewer to give a bit of themselves... WUA volunteers help to create afghans, caps, scarfs, shawls, socks and MORE that are distributed to those in need.
Operation Christmas Child - In just one shoe box, you may be giving a child the WORLD! Operation Christmas Child is organized and run through Samaritan's Purse and through it's Shoe Box program, distributes gifts of food, toys, clothing, books, school supplies, personal hygiene items, as well as the Gospel to impoverished children worldwide. Not just a box of 'things', but a box of LOVE just for them! (one of my personal favorite charities )
Toys for Tots - well known by most of you, and what child doesn't deserve their very own toys especially at Christmas! Associated with the US Marines, Toys for Tots helps less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas. With gathered donations of new toys, these toys stay in the communities in which they are collected, enabling the residents to take an active part in helping their own.
There are a TON more ways to help this season and even if you only do ONE LITTLE THING...it may be the greatest help someone else has ever had.
Remember that Christmas is not only about the presents under the tree...that's only a small part of it, really. It's about the presence of love in your heart and the gift of this love to others.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
